If the laptop’s screen is having lines or dots on it then the first thing you should try is to press it, apply enough force which will alter the display, in many cases this problem arises due to wedged pixels and applying force on it usually loosen and free the pixels, after applying force it unstrucks & the lines and dots will disappear.
By chance if this doesn’t works then the only way to solve this issue is to replace or repair laptop screen. These dots and lines on display will not bother you as long as that’s the case.
